Creative DNA AFRICA

London, United Kingdom  '25
The UK Circle London Event
180 Studios on the Strand hosted a special event focused on the Creative Economy and Fashion, specifically highlighting Zimbabwe. The evening showcased the Creative DNA Project, a collaborative initiative that empowers talented designers to achieve their business goals through targeted support like mentorship, financial planning, marketing, and international exposure. The project aims to inspire the next generation of fashion businesses in Africa.
Danayi Madondo (Founder of Haus of Stone), Biljana Poposka-Roberts (Managing Director of Fashion Scout), and Farai Bayai Ncube (Regional Arts Director for Sub Saharan Africa) shared insights into the project's transformative impact. The event provided a valuable opportunity to share the Creative DNA Project's story with the UK Circle of Patrons and partners, acknowledging their crucial role in its success. Special thanks were also extended to 180 Studios for their partnership. The smooth execution of the event was attributed to the tireless work of dedicated colleagues: Laetitia Masson, Farai Bayai Ncube, Sevra Davis FRSA, Hannah Robinson, and Deputy CEO Kate Ewart-Biggs OBE.

EXODUS THE FILM

Exodus: A Journey To New Worlds (The Film) is a creative expression and commentary on how we engage and experience digital technology in present-day society. It explores the concepts of migration, movement, and our need to escape reality. Technological advancements and increased social connectivity have led to a new concept of migration. Through virtual platforms, people can connect, experience, and venture into new realms and realities beyond space and time. Society is increasingly using technology and social media to reconnect with the outside world and explore new possibilities. Virtual migration enables us to connect with the outside world without leaving our homes. Physical borders may be closed, but virtual worlds are open.
